The Gameplan

1. Learn as much as humanly possible on your own (aka try to avoid costly bootcamps & other expensive education routes). There are a million resources available online!

2. Stop learning, start doing. Only then, can you truly gauge your progression, and know which areas you should improve on.

3. Put your skills to the test! Engage yourself in the tech community, build relationships, and find yourself an internship, a volunteer program, or even a hackathon, anything that will consistently challenge you and hold you accountable.

IF BY THIS POINT, YOU’RE DROWNING, HAVE ZERO AIR LEFT IN THE TANK, AND HAVE LOST YOUR FINS IN THE SEA OF CODING, AND ONLY AT THIS POINT, IS IT TIME TO CONSIDER FURTHER EDUCATION (DO YOUR RESEARCH!)?

4. Jump ship and start applying! It’s time…unless of course, you’ve realized during step three, that you absolutely need to attend a coding bootcamp, at which point STUDY HARDER! Seriously though, get rid of every single doubt, primp up your resume, and get a job already! You know your wallet will thank you.

5. Re-evaluate and leap! You’ve been at this position for a while now, whether that’s five weeks, three months, or two years. Acknowledge your skills, reflect on what you’ve learned, and focus on the next big challenge. Set yourself new goals for growth and take the leap into your next adventure!It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
